What is LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®?

The LSP method facilitates thinking, communication, and the solving of complex problems in organizations and teams, as well as at the individual level. LSP is based on extensive and numerous research studies from the fields of business and management, organizational development, psychology, learning, neurolinguistics, and neuroscience. Key contributions include the research of professors Johan Roos and Bart Victor, and well-known theories such as Constructionism (S. Papert) and the theory of Flow (M. Csikszentmihalyi).

Recent academic research demonstrates that LSP:

  • Assists in the expression of identity (David Gauntlett, University of Westminster – “Creative Explorations”).
  • Stimulates dialogue within teams and between the team and its stakeholders (Louise Moeller Nielsen, Aalborg University).
  • Enables the creation of metaphors that facilitate addressing complex issues in organizations (Claus Jacobs, University of St Gallen – “Strategy-Making, Corporate Metaphors in Practice”).

The training is configured as a learning experience through a methodology used to explore and manage problems and challenges in real-time, based on scientific studies and research in different areas of management, business strategy, organizational development, psychology, neuroscience, and learning. This experience is facilitated by a global community of facilitators trained in the methodology, with over 10 years of experience worldwide, and by the Global Serious Games Institute in collaboration with universities from various countries.

LSP is a process where the outcomes and impact are directly linked to the quality of facilitation. Therefore, our aim is to provide the facilitator with the understanding and confidence necessary to design and facilitate workshops that can generate long-term impact for the participants, as well as contribute to their skill development.

Testimonials

The training in the words of those who participated

3.5 days of fun, of total immersion, of a variety of contexts, of deepening knowledge and techniques, of self-awareness, of group work, of connecting the hands and the brain. It clearly exceeded my expectations. It opened a new path in my area of specialty. It allowed me to become aware of a range of situations I was previously unaware of.

Rigorous, playful, practical and deep. I left empowered with a very powerful framework and more creativity and awareness on how to leverage serious games in my practice. Tons of learning and fun with Master trainers and amazing fellow participants.
